The 8” Luxury Damascus Chef Knives by Japaknives are hand-crafted from Japanese VG10 steel and layered with 66 layers of Damascus Steel on both sides of the blade. Our artisans utilize ancient techniques that date back thousands of years which in turn produce a knife that is stunning to the eye, through the naturally occurring pattern that has come to be known as Damascus. Professional chefs around the world prefer this material above all others due to its versatility and sharpness, which is ready to withstand the test of time.

All orders are hand-forged in Asia and then stocked in Cranberry in New Jersey, US.

Washing: Always hand wash each knife with a soft sponge and then towel dry after every use. Never machine wash.
All of our high carbon steel knives require a layer of oil after being washed. Please refer to your free e-book download for full instructions.
Sharpening: All of our blades leave the workshop with an edge angle of 15°. To maintain this edge for a lifetime it is recommended to use good quality sharpening stones regularly.
